A blend of four indigenous Douro grape varieties, this wine blends pineapple and lychee aromas and flavors in medium-weight package. Picks up hints of wet stones as well, adding a welcome layer of minerality, but finishes slightly bitter, with a note of citrus pith.

This fruity, easy-to-drink wine seems made for burgers on the grill. The juicy red-berry core is dressed up with notes of bitter chocolate, yet stays fresh and quaffable.

The understated fruit in this light, lean wine has a character reminiscent of tart berries and sour cherries, framed by balsa wood. Turns lemony and dry on the finish. The crisp acids make it best with fatty meat dishes.

Smells of honey, nectarine and apricot. Medium- to full-bodied, with ripe melon flavors and a finish that’s seemingly off-dry, spicy and long. With its apparent sweetness, it might work well with Asian dishes. Imported by Admiral Wine Imports.
