A bit of an odd duck, with both confected notes and a green, herbal character, this Cabernet Franc manages to charm nonetheless. There’s some nice cigar tobacco in the mouth and notes of fall leaves framed by soft but persistent tannins. A good partner for fried chicken.

Crisp, tart and clean, with notes of tomato leaf, fresh cut grass and ripening strawberries. It doesn’t hang around very long but it’s an honest effort that’s worth considering for a summer picnic.
