Good concentration and red fruit aromas set the tone and are embellished by background notes of vanilla and cedar. Drying tannins characterize the mouthfeel but the wine also has a pointed vein of tartness that hits the mid-palate. Tiny percentages of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are added.
