There’s an enticing, almost sweet-smelling aspect to the youthful nose of this ruby-colored, internationally styled Chianti Classico (made by enologist Carlo Ferrini). Aromas include sweet cherry, blueberry, marzipan and Christmas spice. The wine offers well-integrated acidity on the close. Sangiovese is backed by smaller percentages of Merlot, Colorino and Canaiolo.
