Mature notes of stone fruit, apricot, pineapple, papaya and mango are backed by a slightly dusty, peppermint-like quality. This blend of Catarratto and Chardonnay is a nicely executed wine that offers a smooth, creamy finish.

This Nero d’Avola has all its cards in place and offers well-balanced notes of red currant and blackberry backed by delicate renderings of exotic spice. It’s a complex and modern wine with fruity succulence, chewy tannins and very good length. The name “Harmonium” suggests harmony, and this wine definitely has that.

Camelot, a Sicilian blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, is a hedonistic bomb with plush, almost chewy, aromas of black fruit and spice. The generosity and intensity of its bouquet is outstanding and with time, you’ll encounter intriguing notes of petrol, resin and tar. This wine is rich with personality, charm and staying power.

Harmonium is a very rich and extracted take on Nero d’Avola that will appeal to those who love thick, extracted, warm climate wines. It would pair with succulent steak or barbecue pork ribs and offers loads of oak and red fruit intensity on the finish.

White wines from the Alcamo area of Sicily (near Trapani in the southwestern corner of the island) are known for their fresh fruit qualities and drying mineral tones. This vibrant wine is no exception and delivers aromas of peach, honey, almond and white stone. It’s a terrific wine for the summer.

Firriato delivers textbook Grillo (a grape native to Sicily) with soothing, rich texture and aromas of nectarine and pear that are not too intense, but strong enough to recall the Mediterranean’s sunshine and warmth. The wine would pair well with seafood risotto or baked clams.

This impressive expression of Perricone (a native grape of southern Italy) will blow you away thanks to the purity and intensity of its black fruit aromas. This is not an overblown or exaggerated warm-climate wine. It maintains an elegant and focused quality to the end.

Made with Zibibbo and a smaller percentage of Malvasia grapes, L’Ecrù is a fabulous Sicilian Passito dessert wine with unique aromas of candied fruit, orange zest, apricot, honey and a touch of natural rubber. The thick, syrupy mouthfeel is loaded tight with more apricot flavors.
