One of the premium Beaujolais from this large producer; fresh and aromatic, unmistakably Gamay, but with a wonderful aromatic nose that brings forth sweet aromas of ripe strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, touch of shale and dry earth, light; sweet and fresh, very smooth with wonderful light touches of fruit in the mouth; this is no grand cru, but it is a far cry from the sweet insipid wine that comes out of this region; strawberry and blueberry flavors, lightly toasted, very dry and almost chalky in the mouth, but in a very pleasant way; there is a lot concentrated fruit in the mid-mouth; sweet and silky with drying lemon peel textures; this would be worth trying in a few years.
