Lovely nose with sweet, perfumed, candied aromas, touches of tar and earth, quite aromatic and perfumed; the nose is somewhat misleading, as it often can be in this vintage; the flavors, although starting out sweet and loaded with fruit, quickly collapse in the middle of the mouth to turn dry, dusty and acidic; a bit tight and thin in the middle of the mouth; finish is lemony and quite citric with an annoying metallic flavor at the end.
