This wine is great on its own and goes down very easily. Also works well with meat and cheese for appetizers or a quickly thrown together dinner. Excellent easy to find wine!

This is a pretty inexpensive Merlot that can be found just about anywhere, I have seen it in our wine shops as well as our local grocery store going for right around $10. First impression of this after pouring is it looks lighter to me than what a Merlot should be, but maybe I'm rusty, been a while since I have had a merlot. I check out the nose and I think I get some plum and some oak and wood flavors, but not very strong. I have a sip and the first word that springs to my mind is "warm." There is a bunch of dark fruits going on, that plum and maybe black cherries are there along with a decent oak, good medium body, not very heavy, and the finish is... good. I do want a little more. I pair it up with a ribeye and it's not bad, but after getting into it, this wine can't hang with the steak,, the salt and peppery flavors overpower it. So maybe not really for a strong flavored meal, but hey, for ten bucks, there's not much to complain about.

Here’s a nice, bright Chardonnay that can be described as Chablisian. It’s bone dry and very bright in tangy acidity, with a squirt of lime juice over Meyer lemons, pineapples and green apples. A touch of oak adds just the right note of buttered toast. Easy to find, with 73,000 cases produced.

What’s so refreshing about this blush wine is its crisp acidity and the slight bitterness that makes it almost like a digestif. It has a wealth of fresh, green herb flavors, like sage and thyme, along with red cherryskin and white pepper. Complex and full-bodied, it can replace a red Pinot on hot summer nights.

Made from 75% Syrah and 25% Grenache, this blush wine shows cool-climate acidity and a fine minerality that make it racy and clean. There also are long hangtime hints of raspberries and strawberries. It’s a fine rosé to drink with bouillabaisse. From Francis Ford Coppola.

A semisweet wine, with apricot jam and citrus flavors, offset by crisp acidity. Turns cloying after a few sips.

Dry and rather scoury, with a rough mouthfeel. But it’s clean and bone dry, and shows proper sparkling wine flavors of citrus, vanilla, yeast and green apple.

This is a candied, slightly sweet Pinot Noir, pretty rustic all around. Its acidity and sugary finish give it a raspberry and cherry, sweet and sour taste.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A strongly flavored, rather heavy rosé that’s almost as full-bodied as a Grenache, which forms half the blend, with Syrah. It shows flavors of cherries and raspberries, and lacks delicacy.
