First nose is somewhat distant and remote with hints of fruit and earth, but faint, expands more in the glass with time, but never produces a major effort in the aromas, there is ripe fruit, and perfumed aromas of flowers mixed with earthen scents; medium bodied with a somewhat tight, closed structure now; more tannins than fruit and more acidity than sweetness, but this may be in one of the closed down periods; good finish, a solid wine but not at the top for this appellation.
