The color is brown-ish and the aromas are of earth and raisins. Citrus zest and sharp red fruit drives the palate, while the finish is tannic, especially considering how little richness is on offer.

The barrel regimen is reflected in the charred, leathery components on the nose. In the mouth, it’s heavy, with black plum, burnt sugar and even some vinegar notes. This wine has its attributes but also some rough edges.

Heavy and browning, with aromas and flavors that are raisiny. The finish is like spiced tea, and the tannins are soft. If you enjoy the essence of raisins, this wine has potential. Not as fresh as the others.

More of a stout, round wine with an emphasis on lush berry fruit and raisins. And that is what we liked about it. It doesn’t deal much wood or acid; instead it shoots for a creamy, somewhat spicy personality. And it hits that target squarely.
