A modern take on Barbera, the Martini has aromas of ripe fruit with an overlay of vanilla on the palate. While not particularly complex, the big fruit character makes for an undemanding but pleasant wine.

The Canti suffers from a lack of acidity, which mars the pleasant minerality and apricot jam flavors of the wine. The low acid gives the wine little presence on the palate, and a short finish.
