At first taste, I was not all that impressed. Little bland, not bad, just not all that great. However once this wine breaths a little and you have some food with it (I had it with a deep dish pizza) it opens up quite a bit, to the point of tasting like an almost entirely different wine. I would call this a respectable table wine with an earthy taste, and very good on the nose but you have to give it some time to breathe.
