This Cabernet is actually a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7.2% Merlot, and 5.8% Cabernet Franc. If you love the taste of chocolate, this opens up with it in abundance. Also adding to the complexity of this wine, you can easily detect currant, blueberry, and some spices such as clove and cinnamon, and finishes with cedar notes if you really concentrate on the flavors. Aromas consist of dark fruit, spices, and cedar. It has a pleasant garnet hue, and is quite balanced. It has nice, smooth tannins and a lingering finish. This was such a great Cabernet, and the cedar notes paired well with the darker grilled surface of my filet mignon. Highly recommended! $51-$78 depending on where you shop.
