Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This is an easy, informal Chardonnay that offers measured intensity and aromas of peach, melon and citrus followed by a waxy, almost sweet sensation in the mouth. Drink it on a hot summer afternoon.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
There’s a pure almond note here of Amaretto, marzipan and almond milk. In fact, there’s not much else except for distant notes of white flower and peach. The mouthfeel is tonic and fresh but thin.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
There’s added dimension here in the form of light smoke, banana and peach that frame this luminous Pinot Grigio. This expression is also creamier and softer in the mouth as compared to your standard Grigio and would therefore pair with first courses or seafood.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
There’s a strange aroma here that recalls soy sauce, oregano and pizza herbs. The wine has a slightly prickly edge but ends on a simple and genuine note. Pair it with pizza or easy pasta or chicken dishes.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Here is a heavily oak-driven 80-20 blend of Merlot and Refosco (in a very heavy glass bottle) with aromas of spice, cured meat, tobacco and mature black fruit. Pair with beef stew or seasoned grilled lamb to best enjoy the wine’s natural density and freshness.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
That pretty pink or amber color you see comes from prolonged contact with the grape skins during winemaking. This wine offers dense aromas of mature peach, apricot, honey and toasted almond. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich and there’s a touch of bitter almond on the close.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This is a Pinot Grigio-based wine (with 15% Friulano added to the blend for extra structure and complexity) that offers a very attractive blend of stone fruit and white mineral aromas. It’s smooth, creamy and fresh on the finish.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A simple, citrusy quaff that leans heavily toward pineapple and grapefruit. Some melon flavors round out the package.

Aging, with shellac and mineral-spirits aromas and flavors creeping in over the pear and mint. Drink up.

Heavy and alcoholic in the mouth, with aromas of fresh corn husks and limes. Tastes simple, with hints of oranges, and finishes short.
