Shows lots of smoky oak in its youth, with a buttery, caramel corn sweetness dominating the cherries, currants and cola. That imbalance will probably fade away with a few years, and allow the wine to achieve proper balance. 2010–2012.

Tasted in October, 2010, this Pinot had a spritziness indicating some instability, making it hard to evaluate. That could calm down eventually, leaving behind a big, flavorful and dry red wine, brimming with berries, cherries and cola.

Rich cola, pomegranate, rhubarb, cherry, currant, tomato and flashy oak flavors in this dry Pinot Noir, and it has a nice, silky texture. Feels a bit heavy and one-dimensional, though, and seems to be showing its best, so drink now.

A little too soft, which gives a flat, lifeless quality to the mouthfeel. On the other hand, the flavors are wonderful, ranging from cherries and currants to an exquisite overlay of oak. Doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, so drink up.

A beautiful Pinot Noir, lush and immediately likeable, as Pinots from this fine vineyard tend to be. Shows forward flavors of cherries, red currants, rhubarbs, cola, anise, tangerine zest and smoky sandalwood, wrapped into very fine tannins and balanced with crisp acidity. Such is the balance that this wine should develop bottle complexity over the next six years.

Tasted in mid-summer, this Pinot was a little awkward, with the different parts competing. Smoky oak over here, sweetly ripe cherries and currants over there, and crisp acidity in the middle. Seems like a fine wine that just needs some time. Drink 2010 and beyond.
