Thickly textured, rich and sweet, this is an unctuous auslese, yet one that still comes across as well balanced. Clover blossom and pineapple aromas set the stage, followed by flavors of candied pineapple, light brown sugar and a touch of honey. Crisp acidity prolongs the finish and keeps it from becoming cloying.

With a nose marked by poached pears, dried spices and mineral inflections, this gets off to a good start. Add in flavors of melon, mineral and spice, a racy mouthfel and a long mineral-dusted finish and it's a true winner.

On first glance, this wine comes across as too simple and sweet. But give it some time and a spicy, slatey-minerally compenent emerges, providing balance and complexity to the ripe pear flavors. An estate that seems to be undergoing a bit of a resurgence. Imported by Valckenberg International, Inc.

This broad, mouthfilling dry Riesling features powerful flavors of baked apple and dried spices, uplifted and amplified by oily, minerally accents. It’s just a touch off-dry, balanced on the finish by crisp acids and pronounced minerality.
