Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
The estate white wine from Château L’Hospitalet is a delicious, perfumed, aromatic blend of Bourboulenc, Vermentino and white Grenache, buoyed by wood, touches of honey and herbs and a fresh, crisp finish.

A more serious attempt at crafting a good Pinot Noir in Languedoc-Roussillon and quite a successful one as well. Vanilla dominates the nose but yields to cherry pie filling and cherry jam flavors in the mouth. Mineral and strawberry notes shine through on the crisp, moderately long finish.

With a velvety texture, long finish and superb approachability, this is an excellent value Cab perfect for a nice grilled steak or roast. Black plum and currant are supported by notes of crushed violets, milk chocolate and menthol. Black cherry skins shine on the finish.

A delicious wine with loads of coconut, blackberries and cocoa butter on the nose with flavors of black cherry and coffee granules in the mouth. Full and lush on the palate with gripping tannins; drink now or hold until 2011.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Light brick color with a delicate nose of barely ripe strawberry, thyme, tomato leaf and a tinge of licorice. Lighter weight and delicate tannins match the somewhat thin red fruit flavors in the mouth. A solid drink with nice accents of spice on the finish.

While the pretty pale salmon color is enough to draw anyone in, this sparkler delivers with delicate aromas of white raspberry, red apple flesh and broche. The tingling mouth, loaded with acidity and moderate carbonation, delights with flavors of strawberry hull and clementine supremes. An excellent choice for the next time you're looking to celebrate, or just treat yourself.

This is a big, intense offering from Bertrand, showing what fantastic wines can be achieved using international varieties and the Vin de Pays appellation. Black berries, clove, saddle leather and cigar tobacco abound on the nose, while the velvety-textured mouth shows fruit flavors of cassis and black plum with notes of pepper and licorice. A solid structure, good balance, and lengthy finish promise pleasure if consumed now or in the 2–3 years to come.

With 30% Grenache Gris, 40% Bourboulenc and 30% Rolle (or Vermentino), here’s a ripe, lush white blend from the South of France. Aromas of peach, roasted red apple, jasmine and a kiss of honey fill the bouquet, while the round, full mouthfeel shows more toasty cedar notes. A big, developed wine that has lots to offer.

Bright and concentrated at the same time, with strong notes of black berries and cassis backed by softer notes of yellow flowers, almond skin, rosemary and pepper. The mouth is lightweight but full, with soft acids and a short but clean finish. Very approachable; drink now.

A delicious, herbaceous, grassy style of Sauvignon, fresh but full-bodied. There are flavors of green plums and a touch of thyme. Fresh and crisp.
