From a single vineyard, Alice’s, in the Bennett Valley area, a complex blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc. It’s young and big and jammy now, and consequently a bit unbalanced, with biting fruit. But the rich tannins suggest cellaring. Try aging through 2005.
