From La Rioja, this Torrontés is quiet and neutral. It offers a little tangerine on the nose, and then acceptable but unexciting banana and pear flavors. Overall it’s decent but bland.

Roasted fruit, road tar and barrel notes play a big role on the nose, which is otherwise regular and not particularly individual. The palate offers red-fruit jam, butter and pepper flavors, while the finish has some bite and definitive snap. Plenty good enough to drink but lacking completeness and texture.

Rusty in color, with meaty, dry aromas of beef broth, oak and leafy fruit. The palate is baked and candied, with lactic flavors of vanilla, caramel and herbal cherry. Fairly tannic and hard.
