This is a high intensity wine with a lot going on aroma-wise: Red cherry, vanilla, roasted peanut, chestnut, Indian spice, cola and some cooked green notes are distinguishable elements in a complex package. Although the nose has complexity, it’s a hair shy of absolute harmony.

Celebrating 100 years of activity, Giuseppe Campagnola is one of Valpolicella’s oldest and biggest producers. The company has a refurbished winery and three enormous hangers dedicated to grape appassimento. This anniversary wine delivers black berry fruit, chocolate, cherry cough drop and a smidgeon of cooked fruit and is aged in both barrique and oak cask.

This is an opulent Amarone with penetrating aromas of ripe fruit, blackberry, Spanish cedar, red apple and cola that peel off layer after layer to reveal an excellent core of juicy fruit. The wine also has modern oak nuances of vanilla spice and offers a smooth, velvety mouthfeel.

Some 18 months of aging in new oak have left their mark on this dark, sophisticated and elegant Amarone. This is a beautiful wine with aromas of dark berry, chocolate, cola, mesquite and exotic spice. It shows soft, velvety richness on the long finish.

This sees 12 months of oak aging for extra layers of spice, leather and tobacco that sit over a solid base of red fruit and cherry cola. A really nice wine. this is plush and dense in the mouth with a long, succulent finish.
