Consistent in style with the previous Deluge, this is deep in color, extract and tannins. Fermentation is done in a concrete lagar, and the wine is matured for 24 months in new, heavily toasted French oak hogsheads. It does not taste oaky, just nicely toasty. The tannins are robust and ripe, bringing richness and firmness to pure cassis fruit. There is just a hint of coffee and bark in the finish; this wine has a long life ahead.
