Powerful and intense nose with complex aromas of tobacco, iodine, cassis, cacao, herbs and lots of ripe fruit; sweet and smooth in the mouth with wonderful silky fruit flavors; both red and black fruits in a ripe and richly textured fabric; softening tannins now add an elegance to the wine; long finish, fresh and clean, demonstrating that it is possible to achieve power and elegance in the same breath, and that the New World style does not have to use a hammer to make its point.
