From Gene Glazer’s collection of Grace family wines, this remains one of the super-Californians to beat; huge, perfumed and complex nose with aromas of tar and licorice but offset by lilacs and tulips, spices and black currants, cassis; this is a huge wine with monumental flavors of extracted fruit, pomegranate and quince mixed with powerful bold tannins, but the wine remains very balanced with well-defined acidity and depth; this wine is a treat and still young in the mouth.
