Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Extremely elegant but also understated, this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese needs a few minutes in the glass before it reveals itself fully. Once it does, it offers beautiful notes of wild berries, spice and leather. The wine speaks highly of coastal Tuscany and offers a surprising blast of cool cherry on the close.

For sun-drenched Bolgheri this wine demonstrates excellent elegance and finesse with aromas of red cherry, exotic spice, nutmeg and milk chocolate. It has a vibrant and vertical delivery thanks to the wine’s natural acidity and its wild berry flavors. The blend is Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Sangiovese.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This gorgeous vintage of L’Alberello (Cabernet Sauvignon with Cab Franc and Petit Verdot) is elegant and refined thanks to its focused aromas of mineral, black fruit, chocolate fudge and spice. The soft, but rich mouthfeel would pair with pork cutlets marinated with aromatic sage.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese, this beautiful Bolgheri blend exhibits enormous purity and elegance. The 2005 vintage was on the warm side, but that extra sunshine has shaped a soft, velvety wine with bright, succulent fruit flavors. This is a generous, upfront wine that will add a touch of sophistication to your dinner table.

This nicely concentrated blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese from Coastal Tuscany opens with a spice-driven nose that recalls crushed clove, ginger and cinnamon. The wine offers a lot of freshness on the palate in terms of acidity, natural bitterness and the integrity of its fruit.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Despite the obvious quality of this wine—obvious in its vibrant ruby color and full bouquet of berry and spice aromas—there’s a tiny touch of something pungent that recalls kerosene or alcohol. The structure is firm and solid without being bulky and it delivers flavors of small berry fruit.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend with Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Sangiovese that shows wonderful aromas of cherry and blueberry. The wine is soft, tight and fresh: It would make a perfect companion to braised lamb shanks with a hint or rosemary and mint.

This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot and Sangiovese is tad jammy and cooked. The wine delivers tight, tart tannins with impressive structure and length.
