Big sweet nose with gobs of fruit, ripe cherries and mixed fruits, sugar, smoke, black spices; very sweet in the front of the mouth, almost tastes sugared, so this had to be very ripe fruit at picking; smooth and flavorful, not a complex wine, but certainly a pleasure to drink; not particularly complex and lacks some of the peppery spiciness that I associate with Zinfandel; good finish; nice picnic wine.
