A touch woody and fiery to start, and then graphite and earthy-leathery aromas come up. The palate is mostly attractive, with solid plum and berry flavors along with tannins that are full but don’t fight you. The finish seems a touch hollow and bitter, but overall the wine has good Tempranillo quality.

Not too bright in color, with oily, earthy, raisiny aromas. Typical of the warm region it comes from, the wine is pruney and candied, with chocolate in the rear. Lacks an edge or pronounced tannins, but has enough good fruit quality to warrant a taste or two.
