Spiced raspberries and jammy blackberries burst from the glass and is reminiscent of a CA Zinfandel. Supple tannins and more spice and cassis grip the tongue and then slowly release their hold over the next couple of minutes. A nice departure from the softer Portuguese wines that have been reviewed recently. Drink over the course of the next 7 years or so. Pair with bbq pork sandwiches or spicy thai chili tacos.
