The combination of the name of Le Mesnil and the word for vintage, Mesnillesimé is hardly subtle. Nor is the bottle, with its Belle Epoque design. But the wine is great: Full-bodied, piled with ripe green plums and crisp freshness, it finishes with a lingering toasty, creamy note.

This 100% Chardonnay is a dry style, making it great as an apéritif. It has yeasty, honeysuckle aromas, soft flower and honey flavors, and finishes with softness, ripeness and fresh yet subtle acidity.
