Salad greens, like chicory and endive, carry through this wine from start to finish in a strangely pleasant fashion. The fresh red plum, toast, earth and dusty cocoa fill out the palate.

Approachable, fresh flavors of red plum, toast, tobacco and apple peels finish with a cedary zing. The body of this wine is lightweight, with good acids and particulate tannins with a fair grip.

Typical South African earthiness with a large dose of green—at first minty, then turning more vegetal—charcterize this curious red. The flavors are indistinct, with the dark berry in there under some serious wood and the herb-pepper cascade. Closes very dry and woody.

The sheer layers of oak wrap up round plum, light cherry, dried tobacco and herbs. The acidity is a refreshing counterweight to the tannins and the style is elegantly simple.

The somewhat muted nose displays fresh peas, honeydew melon and freshly snipped herbs, while the palate shows herbs and grapefruit pith. It lacks weight and is watery at times.

A tight, green note of eucalyptus persists throughout the cherry, plum and oaken layers. The tannins are powdery and strong while the acidity is clean and refreshing.
