Based on the last two vintages of this wine, Schmitt seems to have settled into a rather oily, minerally style for this wine, marrying kerosene and honeyed richness with baked apple and pear flavors. Drink now.

Seems a bit too big and bulky in the mouth, with a touch of warmth on the finish, but has plenty of pluses as well, showing more minerality and complexity than many wines in this price range. Hints of honey, petrol and smoke intertwine with melon and pineapple fruit. Imported by Magellan Wine Imports.

Despite being largely dry, this is a plump, engaging Riesling with remarkable purity of fruit. Strawberry and pineapple aromas and flavors drive this bus, making it perhaps a touch commercial, but fun all the same. Drink it over the next year or two. Imported by Magellan Wine Imports.
