Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
The original “black wine” of Cahors is obviously alive and well—and living in the Loire valley, to judge by the color of this wine. Made from ungrafted Malbec, this is rich, unoaked, a ripe but stalky textured wine that gives great perfumes and a firm, juicy and tannic aftertaste.
