Good deep nose of plums, earth, spices, touch of smoke, quite earthy; sweet fruit in the front of the mouth, lots of cherries and plums, but at the same time there is an earthy quality in this wine that gives it an interesting quality; soft and silky but given its youth, grainy tannins are very evident; they are quite soft though, and the wine is very approachable now; nice finish; never an elegant wine, this is pleasant nonetheless.
