Il Palagio offers easy aromas of black currants, cola, spice and subtle shadings of tobacco and leather. The wine has medium intensity and washes over the palate in a bright and refreshing way.

This Riserva delivers a sweet candy or cola-like nose with shadings of vanilla, cherry liqueur and dried fruit. Blueberry and wild berry fill the mouth and are followed by drying mineral tones. The 30-acre Il Palagio estate is owned by the Piccini family and should not be confused with Fattoria Il Palagio, owned by the Zonin family.

There’s attractive simplicity here that is underscored by the easy freshness of the wine’s red berry fruit and spice-related aromas. The mouthfeel is equally refreshing and likeable.
