Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This is a tantalizing red all around, with a savory sausage, cherry and spice nose and velvety waves of red berry and mushroom on the palate. Structure is firm but smooth—so the wine can be enjoyed now or held for a few years. An impressive effort that will appeal to fans of softer style Cabernets.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Indian Creek Garnet offers rich leather, spice and pepper on the nose and a balanced, savory blend of red fruit, pepper and warming spice on the palate. The tannins are smooth and the acidity good, though the wine could use food to soften its peppery character. Think spiced grilled ribs, burgers.

Quite an impressive effort. The dense purple hue promises much, as do the intense notes of grilled meat and coconut on the nose. The palate delivers, with complex black fruit aromas and wet earth flavors leading to a long, lush finish. A year or two in the cellar will give the American oak a chance to integrate but drink up before 2011.

Black cherry, plum and clove give this Idaho dessert wine a sultry start. On the palate, its slightly sweet flavors evoke dark chocolate, spice and plum. Serious but not heavy.
