Has black currant, oak and green-olive aromas and flavors, and drinks dry and earthy. The fruit is rich and very sunny-sweet. Nice silky tannins. Loses points due to roughness and a lack of delicacy.

The nose is big and bold—this is not about subtlety but instead it’s focused on heavy pineapple and other tropical fruits. The palate is loaded with bright lemony notes and softer pear and apple accents. Hefty and forward; not terribly deft.

Plummy, blackberry aromas, with complex tar, tobacco and oriental spice notes. Very soft and fruity, with wonderfully deep berry and spice flavors, and a long, rich finish. Sierra Foothills Cab Franc is one of California’s best-kept wine secrets.

This is a richly fruity, full-bodied wine with lots of sweet blackberry, plum and cherry-chocolate flavors. It’s dry and clean, with soft, complex tannins. There’s real distinction here, from a part of California you don’t hear much about.

From the Sierra Foothills, this well-structured, dark wine offers ripe blue- and blackberry fruit, with leather and espresso accents. The palate’s lively plum and pepper flavors are nicely integrated with the oak used here, and flow into a dry finish with even, moderate tannins.

This wine has good varietal character with citrusy flavors, dry, crisp acidity and a bright, zesty punch that cleans the palate. There's an odd, baked quality in the aroma that keeps it from being as good as it could be.

Here's all the oaky vanilla, ripe peach flavor, and creamy texture that people like in an affordable wine. It's not white Burgundy, but this pretty wine from the Sierra Foothills has plenty of charm and character.

Call it country style, or rustic. It has some ripe peach and citrus flavors and drinks dryish, with a simple texture marked by adequate acidity. A perfectly decent quaffer at a perfectly acceptable price for the quality.
