Had a glass of the Ingwe with some sauteed spinach and a bit of the famous Fred's Steak from Schuba's last night. (Absolutely great rub- super salty, which I loved.) But the smoky character of this South African wine was the perfect complement to the pairing. Yum yum.

Amehlo means "leopard's eye." Pronounced "Amesh-Low." Winemaker: Alain Moueix, nephen of Christian & Jean Francois Moueix. - Nose: very grassy, super fragrant, a little yeasty, too. a hint of pear. - Palate: dry & acidic, big floral, tastes like a basket of lavendar.
