This is balanced and refined, as a grand cru should be, with a complex bouquet of honeysuckle, hay, mild vanilla and mineral-earth notes. The complexity continues on the palate where mineral soy, floral and cinnamon elements play, though there's not particularly brisk acidity or internal tension here. Closes with good length and style, if a bit fuller, more masculine and spicy than expected. Drink now.

This is an odd but interesting duck, with some contrasting aromas and flavors. Aromas are slightly buttery but backed by powerful scents of flint and quince. In the mouth, there’s a soft, slightly furry texture, yet the flavors are hard and unyielding.

Thias premier cru has deep hay and mineral aromas and flavors with a touch of caramel cream. The mouthfeel is soft, and lower in acidity than anticipated; the wine seems too mature for a 1999. Flavorful, if already lomg in the tooth for its relatively youthful age. Drink now.

An effort worthy of the grand cru pedigree, this firm, yet rich and enveloping, wine juxtaposes minerals against ripe apples and pears. Hints of flint and anise on the nose add complexity, while the finish seamlessly melds honey and steel.

A handsome bouquet of nutmeg, grapefruit, melon and cilantro marks this value white. The dry grapefruit and green apple palate ahows plenty of chalkiness and medium acidity; the wine finishes medium-long with white pepper, lemon and mineral notes. Tastes Chablis-like, though made of Sauvignon Blanc and not from the appelation.

This crisp wine, like the other Moreau Chablis, sees no oak and opens with green apple and mineral spirits aromas. Lemon and grapefruit flavors play on the tongue. The palate is very dry and flinty. It's correct Chablis. with a steely austere clsoe, though without much nuance.
