Big sweet nose loaded with vanilla and ripe sweet fruit, lemons, figs, touch of green herbs, very opulent on the nose; smooth and rich in the mouth with big sweetness at the start, and an almost typical over-the-top texture; fat and ripe, there is acidity, but it needs to battle its way through the layers to get to the surface; once there, it adds freshness to what would otherwise be a somewhat pedestrian big chardonnay; good finish with a nice touch of spiciness at the end, but a bit clumsy.
