Jacquart makes a full-bodied, ripe style of Champagne, with tiny, effusive bubbles. Flavors of slightly overripe apples lead into a mature palate with hints of oxidation. Sherry, nuts, olive oil, vanilla and other less identifiable nuances meld into a rich, ripe, satisfying and complex whole.

Rather creamy nose with complex honey and earth accents. Forward flavors of apple, herbs and hay. Good mouthfeel and a clean finish. Very nicely put together.

A rich, full-bodied style of wine, which has some caramel flavors as well as white peach flavors. Jacquart is a great value brand from one of the big cooperatives, and this style is immediately attractive and easy. Imported by Tri-Vin Imports.

A rich, soft, well- balanced wine. There is crispness, but this is given character by toast from some good bottle age, at least in the sample tasted here. The wine is suffused with white fruit flavors, which give a soft, creamy aftertaste.

Initially, a Champagne that seems just ripe and easy. Gradually, a layer of mature toast, yeast, vanilla and cream add their character to fresh ripe white fruits. The wine is certainly ready to drink now, and unlikely to age much more.

Right in the middle of the sweetness palate for demi-sec Champagne, this is a fruity, apricot- and green plum-flavored wine, its sweetness well balanced with fresh acidity and a fine edge of minerality. Good for after-dinner celebrations.

Although Jacquart suggests most of the wine in this blend is from the 1996 vintage, it is labelled as Non-Vintage. The distinction makes little difference to the great fresh fruit that enhances this Champagne. It is fresh, lively, with green fruit flavors and good crispness. It should age well over 5 years.

A ripe, creamy blend of 50% Chardonnay with 50% of the two Pinots. There are spice, cinammon and flavors of blackcurrants, mingled together in a full-bodied blend. The freshness is laced with mature toastiness to give a wine of great complexity.

A delicious, mature Champagne, probably Jacquart’s best release. The initial youthful softness has been transformed into a rich, toasty, aromatic wine, with a ripe, but crisp finish. It is now in perfect condition.
