Eniticing rich, lightly oxidative aromas. The palate, too, is rich and creamy with some balancing, crisp acidity. Floral flavors, honey and a delcious yeasty character at the end.

This Champagne, full of richness and fresh acidity, is a wine designed for food. With its weight and intensity of flavor, along with the low dosage, it is still full-bodied, leaving a toasty character. This is the 729th nonvintage blending produced by Jacquesson since 1898 (when the house was 100 years old), hence the number. Imported by Winebow.

While it has very bready and yeasty aromas, you can taste the crisp fruits through this. It’s an elegantly dry Champagne, with a pure line of white fruits and acidity that go with the beautiful structure. As befits the 1996 vintage, this will certainly age.

With a majority of Chardonnay in the blend, this has turned into a wonderfully expressive wine. It is more open than the great 1996, more generous, giving some mature toast and nut flavors, but still retaining ripe apricots and mulberry. In the Jacquesson style, this is very dry, but its richness keeps it well in balance.

Jacquesson is proud possessor of top quality grand cru vineyards in Avize. This vintage is subtle, a wine that takes a while to show all its richness, balanced with elegance. The fruit is ripe pear, peach and orange zest. It has a great streak of minerality. Worth aging.

This single-vineyard Champagne is one of the range produced by Jacquesson, and all are superb. This shows elegance, with ripe, almost toasty, flavors and a lovely, lingering acid and toast finish, which leaves freshness and intensity at the same time.

This blanc de blancs certainly shows its dryness, but with the wonderful maturity that it is just beginning to develop, it also has plenty of richness. Almonds are emerging to balance the white, almost tropical, fruits, calming the extreme crispness of the acidity. A great wine, which should develop beautifully over the next 10–15 years.

A blend of wines from vineyards in Chouilly, Sillery and Aÿ, along with Pinot Noir from Dizy, this is a beautifully crafted light-pink wine. The fruit is ripe but elegant, with layers of toast, acidity and raspberries, and a lively edge.

Pale salmon-pink color, with soft fruit, caramel and vanilla flavors and sweet strawberries at its core. A well-balanced, simple and attractive wine.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This Pinot Noir-dominated wine is rich and structured with waves of acidity passing through the white currant, toast and a developing maturity. Extra richness comes from the oak fermentation, but, because of the low dosage, there is also an austerity and minerality about this wine that will find its best expression with food. Imported by Winebow.
