Too stinky for two of our three reviewers, with one going so far as to call it fecal. Too bad about that smell, wrote another. There’s some coffee, black pepper and sour black cherry, so it’s not all bad.

A blend of Chardonnay and Viognier, this dry, crisp white shows the peach and pineapple flavors of the former, and the floral spiciness of the latter.

Tannicly dry, but balanced and complex, with a silky, rich mouthfeel. Almost like a Chinon, although it has no Cabernet Franc. Under the tannins are rich flavors of cherries, red currants, violets and cedar. Now-2012.

Soft and heavy, with slightly sweet, extracted flavors of cherries, blackberries and peppery spice. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.

This blend of Sangiovese, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon is dry, with strong tannins and flavors of blackberries, herbs and pepper. It’s a rustic wine for drinking with sausages, pizza and other hearty fare.

Bone dry and robust, this affordable Cab has refined tannins framing flavors of black currants, blackberries and plums, with layers of spice, smoke and cedar. Good buy for the quality.

Blended with 20% Zinfandel, this Sangiovese is dry, acidic and somewhat harsh in the mouth. It has cherry, raspberry, tobacco and herb flavors that finish a little medicinal.

There are some ripe, lip smacking flavors of sweet blackberries, cherries, chocolate and licorice here. Drinks dry but a little raw and sharp. Nice with comfort foods. Cab Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot.
