Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Aromas of petrol and waxed apple suggest a fairly intense offering, as does the slightly oily mouthfeel. Strongly present flavors of orange pith and citrus zest counter the viscosity and heft, allowing for a crisp and refreshing finish. Imported by Chapin Cellars LLC.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This was the first vintage in which the Adam vineyards were operated biodynamically. The fruit certainly is intense and very clean, with flavors of toast and spice and aromas of white flowers. There is some residual sugar, leaving a soft, rich aftertaste. Imported by Chapin Cellars.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A pleasant, easy Crémant, Adam has produced a balanced, fruity wine, with crisp acidity. Made from Pinot Blanc, there is some weight to the wine, but its main impression is of lightness and softness. Imported by Chapin Cellars.

A more restrained style, with pear and citrus fruit in the lead roles, backed up by subtle cinnamon and honey on the palate. Crisp and medium-bodied with a medium, lemon-accented finish. Try with Alsatian tarte flambée. Drink now.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Crisp and dry, with intense fresh apple, pear and mineral scents that lead to a palate of pure honeydew. Though it has the acidity to hold a few years, this wine’s principal charm is its youthful fruit and is therefore best drunk before 2012.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This wine is finely perfumed, with flavors of almonds, currants and white berries. There is good intensity and the wine should age well over the next five years or more. Imported by Chapin Cellars.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Opens with a classic nose of cream, citrus and spice, giving way to cotton candy, cardamon and café latte in the mouth. The crisp, dry finish of roasted nuts is attractive but doesn’t really linger.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Unusually subdued nose of pear and mineral leads to a nuanced palate of pear, papaya and kiwi that’s noticeably sweet. There could be more flavor and persistence though a high level of concentration is evident. A good complement to spicy Asian food. Drink now.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Cotton candy notes overlap with licorice and spice aromas to create a very enticing bouquet. The luxurious, concentrated palate serves up flavors of brown sugar and honey. Set aside a good amount of time to enjoy the finish.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Although one could wish for more aromatic complexity in a Vendanges Tardives, notes of lemon poppy-seed cake are very satisfying. The intense, layered palate shows notes of candied fruit and spice and leads to a long, lush finish.
