With a strong line of women at the helm of the winery, Josetta Saffirio is now run by the young Sara Vezza. Her Barolo Persiera is particularly impressive thanks to its bold, pulsing fruit nuances and the refined nature of its spice, tobacco and cola elements. The wine finishes with long floral flavors and polished tannins.

Representing a stylistic break from last vintage, this edition of Barolo Persiera offers more soapy, floral tones of violets and lavender followed by barrel aromas of moist earth and spice. The 2006 vintage seemed bolder and more extracted. This edition is also less intense, but more streamlined and focused on the close.
