There’s not too much fruit going on here; the aromas and flavors tend more towards caramel, vanilla and cinnamon, with just a faint lemon tone as a backdrop. After a kiss of softness on the palate, this wine finishes with mouthwatering crispness. Though impressive, this wine is a bit disjointed and could use a few years to integrate.

Here is a finely balanced wine, poised between elegance and power. It is dry, concentrated with some toastiness, but more importantly it brings together ripe fruits, flavors of spices, nutmeg and cilantro. Imported by Paterno Wines International.

Rather reined-in on the nose, this wine lacks Gewürz’s over-the-top aromatics, instead showing restrained pear and spice scents. Combined with the wine’s lack of residual sugar, this aspect of the wine will make it more versatile with food, as it pumps out apple, citrus and spice flavors that turn peppery on the finish.

Markedly complex aromas of bruised apple, pear, peach and carnation set up expectations that the mouth can’t quite live up to; it’s a bit thin though dry and nicely balanced with a finish of fall leaves and green plums. Try with cream pasta dishes. Drink now.

This is not an intensely sweet wine, more one that is rich. It has great floral aromas, flavors of peaches and apricots, balanced with a great freshness, acidity and delicacy. Give it 3–4 years before drinking. Imported by Paterno Wines International.

This white blend has some lemon-lime aromas and also a hint of flowery perfume. It smells pretty good, but that promise isn’t upheld on the palate, where things turn broad and dull. There just isn’t much intensity or depth to the wine, which finishes spicy and dry.

Green-apple aromas and a faint whiff of petrol on the nose—almost a minerally, faintly kerosene tinge. Crisp green-apple and spice flavors with a creamy mouthfeel. Fine intensity and a long, spicy finish.
