Deep and exotic, with fine black fruit and perfume on the nose. Flavors of black cherry and blackberry sing a pretty song, while the finish is racy and firm, and arguably a bit lean. Among all the big bruisers out there, it’s nice to see a juicier, fruitier wine that doesn’t hit like a battering ram. That said, this is no lightweight.
