From the Ballard Canyon region of the valley comes this lush, fruity Grenache. Forward in jammy, spicy cherry and raspberry flavors, it has a good tannic structure, with sweet influences from smoky oak.

Fine and supple, if a little sharp, with tart cherry jam, raspberry pie filling, cassis, red currant, black pepper and smoky oak flavors that finish dry and spicy. Best now, this stylish Grenache will pair well with rosemary and garlic-infused pepper steak.

Bold and a bit aggressive now in rugged tannins, this Rhône-style blend has dry flavors of blackberries, cherries, leather, Asian spices, violents and smoky sandalwood. Give it until mid-2010.
