Tannic and quite acidic, this very young wine shows some spicy red fruit, unfortunately accompanied by sweaty off-aromas. It quickly turns hard, sour and tannic in the mouth.

There isn’t much varietal character here; it is a generic, slightly salty white wine with an earthy finish. What little fruit is there has a suggestion of pear skin, but the tannins are rough and create a finishing impression of chalky dirt.

The curious text that decorates the label somehow suggests that this blend of Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah and Pinot Noir was created to solve some sort of dilemma. Whatever the genesis, the wine is a sturdy red, tannic and earthy with some sweet cherry fruit lodged squarely in the middle. It fades quickly into a somewhat tannic, yet dilute finish.
