From this Delta appellation east of San Francisco, a workhorse Zin. Smells sharp, with clove notes, but there are some rich berry flavors in the mouth. It’s also dry, low in acids, and with some dusty tannins. Everyday stuff, spirited and clean, at a very nice price.

Smooth textured, with spicy nuances and blackberry, raspberry, cola, tea and herb flavors. The tannins are ripe and firm and the finish is good.

Raisiny, overripe nose, with some earthy, dirty scents. Sour cherry and cranberry flavors and chalky tannins; a sour, not very pleasant finish.
