Scents of lemon wax and a slightly spritzy mouthfeel are followed by somewhat surprisingly sweet fruit for a wine labeled dry. The flavors favor orange juice and orange candy. If you like a fairly heavy, fruit-forward style, this is just right.

Spritzy, with light stone fruit flavors suggesting peach and pear. Hints of residual sugar, some good texture in the mouth, and a lactic, slightly buttery finish.

A split-personality, split-decision wine in which berry fruit and creamy chocolate are offset by a pine-green herb streak. That infuses the wine with a neo-Rhônish, woody, resiny quality that appealed to certain tasters and left others cold. Some enjoyed the unique strawberry-cocoa-raisin flavors, others found the dry, green profile just too much.

This is still the current release. A very hot vintage in Washington, it leads with a Portlike nose of raisins and prunes; follows with soft, ripe and roasted flavors. The tannins are deep and earthy. Drink now. —P.G.

Spice and melons illuminate the nose; the wine displays amazing concentration, with deep, syrupy peach and apricot fruit, and a bit of sugar and toasted coconut in the finish. Good acid balance. It's still very young, but immediately delicious.

Pineapple, honeysuckle, baked apple and citrus all blend together in the nose. On the palate it is sweet but not too sweet, with good acid balance and just 10% alcohol. It adds up to a light, flavor-intensive dessert wine, with good concentration and appeal. Best Buy.

Pretty nose with smoke, cherries and chocolate mixed. Plums and cherries do the fruit dance, creating a balanced, approachable, light-to-medium-weight wine that's drinkable right now.

It's made from all estate fruit, though it's not labeled as such. This was the first vintage from a newly planted 6-acre vineyard. There's good color and ripe cherry fruit, but also some rough, green tannins and a hint of garlic in the nose.

A whiff of bottling sulfur blows off quickly, leading into a bold, vivacious, crisply defined, dry and fruit-driven wine. Nicely mixes honeysuckle, Meyer lemon and hints of pink grapefruit with a textured, mineral finish.
