Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Heavily extracted and heavily oaked, this Cabernet starts with a rush of vanilla and cedar, then backs that up with tobacco and cassis. It’s practically chewy in the mouth, ending with coffee and additional cedar flavors.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Captivating, with zesty lemon and wet stones on the nose, followed by a complex medley of citrus, passionfruit and carnations on the palate. The wine finishes well, with punchy notes of lime marmalade and dry chalk. Try with smoked trout. Drink now for its vibrant fruit or lay down for a few years for more honeyed depth.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This is a sturdy, muscular Riesling. Although it starts off with some deceptive floral—lilac—aromas, its assertive apple and lime flavors flow relentlessly over the palate. Powerful and intense, it nevertheless finishes clean and refreshing, making it a solid counterpoint to richly sauced fish dishes.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This is a full-bodied, well structured Cabernet, with plenty of intense cassis fruit tinged with minty, herbal overtones that give it a slightly medicinal cast. Give it 2-3 years to develop additional complexity, then drink it over the next 7-8 years.
